I know there is a thread somewhere in the discussion about a procedure what to follow but issue is now that the downloads won't even start.
To add - at least in the past I haven't tried it recently I didn't have any issues with Stellaris or HoI4 mods from Workshop, they worked instantly. I have yet to try external Workshop downloader but I wouldn't want to try this as I want officially supported way and if the Workshop has been implemented to Steam it should work Could this be a bug related to the free release?

I had this issue a while back, i solved it by uninstaling the game and reinstalling it again. Maybe worth a try. Cool beans. Because king is not a king if he cannot torture his people! Update: I was able to start download and after it completed the 'mod' directory is still empty. I just don't I give up honestly.

Jul 13, 3 Hello everyone, I have found a fix for my ck2 not loading mods from workshop. It turn out that some people by default have their synchronization for CK2 turn off Just go to your properties and enable the options like in the picture below.
